YouTube Enforces Graphic Content Restrictions Against Surgical Videos

Over the last few months, quite a few of the surgical videos uploaded by Fauquier ENT has been slapped with "graphic content restrictions" which is prohibited by YouTube policies. Although these surgical videos are still "allowed" due to its educational nature, any videos showing enough blood and guts are now placed behind an age restriction. It's not just ENT surgical videos... its ANY videos by any surgeon showing actual surgical footage. You can read more about t…

Dr. Chang Assisting in the Production of DIY Physical Therapy

SUBSCRIBE to the the YouTube Channel! In early 2018, Dr. Chang was asked by a pair of physical therapists, Andy Dart and Nick Gallo, to see about making some videos to help individuals perform physical therapy at home rather than in a medical office. Such DIY videos are helpful ESPECIALLY because there is often a yearly insurance cap on physical and speech therapy services combined (~$3700). After agreeing to help make these videos, it was noted that there are already MANY physical t…

Why Don't I Respond to Online Comments?

It's really a matter of time. I just don't have enough of it to respond to every single comment made on the blogs, videos, and webpages I have made over the years. As of today, I have written 1466 blog articles , 1000+  webpages , and produced 95 videos . That also means I get a lot of comments on a daily basis... About 50 comments per day. And although in my early years I did respond to comments, I just don't have time to do so anymore as I have produced more content which …

Fauquier ENT Social Media Update

About once per year, I like to reassess how Fauquier ENT is doing online ever since it was digitally born in 2005. And over the years, I am happy to say it has grown substantially beyond anything anyone would have expected. I would like to think it's because quality and trusted information is provided, but who knows? Overall, the website now gets about 28,000 hits per day or almost one million hits per month. Since 2005, it has received more than 13 million views. Of these, there has…

General ENT Video of 16 Disease Conditions

This video has probably taken more of my time from initial concept, to preparation, and finally execution than any other video  I have made so far. The initial idea for this video probably occurred back in 2012 when my wife showed me a very creative video of an attractive woman showing 25 different ways of wearing a scarf . This video in turn was based on the Brady Brunch intro . At that moment, I knew I wanted to do something similar, but showing different ENT conditions instead. Bu…
