Dr. Chang Published in Neuroradiology Journal on Velopharyngeal Dysfunction

Pretty exciting news!  Dr. Chang has co-authored a peer-reviewed journal article on the topic of velopharyngeal dysfunction  that was published in the June 2019 journal of Neurographics . Most of his other co-authors all belong to the Department of Radiology at the University of Virginia. Velopharyngeal dysfunction or insufficiency (VPI) is a condition when the soft palate does not close properly separating the oral cavity from the nasal cavity during speech and swallow. In June 2017, SELF magazine published a story online that quoted Dr. Chang regarding earwax and its cleaning. He is mentioned in the last paragraph. Dr. Chang to Become Chair-Elect of AAO-HNS Committee

It has recently been announced that Dr. Chang will become the new Chair-Elect of the Public and Media Relations Committee within the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery  (AAO-HNS), an international organization for ENT surgeons. This one year term from 2016-2017 will subsequently transition to position of Chairperson for 2017-2019. He has been a committee member since 2014.
